Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s teaser just debuted at Comic-Con 2022. View the opening trailer inside.
At Comic-Con 2022, the first trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was shown. Fans were especially concerned about how Boseman’s legacy will be continued in the MCU without replacing him as Black Panther when actor Chadwick Boseman, who portrayed king T’Challa in the Black Panther movie, passed away.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s latest trailer pays heartfelt homage to Chadwick Boseman’s King T’Challa by opening with a sombre performance of No Woman No Cry as Shuri (Letitia Wright) and Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett) mourn their dead monarch. Fans are left guessing if Shuri or someone else is the next Black Panther since the person’s face is not seen in the trailer.
The teaser also gives us our first look at two new characters: Tenoch Huerta as Namor and Dominique Thorne as Williams, nicknamed Ironheart, aka Riri Williams. The film shows Atlantean troops fighting the Dora Milaje, suggesting that Namor and the new Black Panther would face off in the Black Panther sequel.

In a speech commemorating the late actor Chadwick Boseman at the Comic-Con trailer premiere, director Ryan Coogler stated, “Although Chad isn’t physically with us anymore, his spirit, his passion, his brilliance, his pride, his culture, and the influence he had on this business will live on forever. This movie is a product of our love for Chadwick.”
On November 11, 2022, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled to open in theatres.
