As we near the year’s end, Bad Bunny has shattered yet another record. For the most profitable tour in a calendar year, the Puerto Rican performer set a global record. The World’s Hottest Tour has raised $435.38 million USD, more than Ed Sheeran’s Divide tour, which established the previous record with $432.3 million USD in revenue.
In Florida on August 5 and Mexico City on December 10, Bad Bunny began and ended their respective world tours. His earlier tour in 2022, El ltimo Tour Del Mundo, was in promotion of his first album of the same name. His current tour, The World’s Hottest Tour, is his second of 2022.
“I believe that his accomplishments make us all very proud. Hans Schafer, SVP of Global Touring at Live Nation, told Pollstar that it was an impressive performance. “Seeing an artist of his age achieve those heights is just something that makes it very encouraging for us, of what the future holds. It is tremendous for Latin music and unprecedented and a remarkable accomplishment on its own, independent of genre.”
Bad Bunny recently disclosed he will slow down next year after a busy yet fruitful year. He told Billboard, “I’m going on vacation. “2023 is for me, to allow me to breathe and enjoy my accomplishments while maintaining my physical and emotional well-being. Let’s have a party. Let’s travel in the boat, over here, and over there. There is no pressure, despite the fact that I have a few irregular responsibilities and will visit the studio. Cabrón, keep in mind who you are. You have put in a lot of work.
