The true-crime documentary-style series The Murders Before the Marathon, a Hulu original, is scheduled to debut on the streaming service. The series will follow intrepid reporter Susan Zalkind as she pursues the unsolved mysteries surrounding the triple homicide that took place in Waltham, Massachusetts, back in 2011.
Three young men called Raphael Teken, Brendan Mess, and Erik Weissman were killed in the case. On the tenth anniversary of 9/11, the bodies of all three of these individuals were discovered in a two-story flat. According to accounts, their families and friends adored Brendan Mess (age 25), Erik Weissman (age 31), and Raphael Teken (age 37). However, it was determined following their death that the group of friends regularly sold marijuana. A sizeable sum of $5000 was also discovered at the crime scene.
In this three-part documentary series, Susan Zalkind, whom we shall see, was friends with one of these men.
