Trevis talks about his latest single, “Avenue.”

Trevis is making a big splash in the music business with his wide range of styles and complex production. The singer, songwriter, and producer just put out a new single called “Avenue” and is getting ready to release his first EP, called “Floor Plan,” later this summer. Even though his career is just getting started, his unique musical style has already won him a lot of fans all over the world. Trevis talks to CelebMix in an exclusive interview about his new music, what inspired his first EP, and more.

What can you tell us about your most recent single, “Avenue,” and what it’s about?

“Avenue” is one of the songs I’m proudest of, especially because of how well it was produced. It came from a place of weakness. Once I knew how to play the guitar, it was easy to figure out the melodies and what I wanted to say. I had known this girl for a while, but I didn’t know what to call us. I kept it calm and didn’t blow up her phone, but I’m a Cancer, and we’re very in touch with our feelings. When you’re in that situation, the worst thing you can do is stay at home and think too much. So, I went back to what I used to do to try to take my mind off things, but I ended up feeling even more alone at the club.

Does “Avenue” give people a taste of the sound they’ll hear on your first EP, “Floor Plan,” which comes out later this summer?

I like to say I dabble in genres. My style is pop music with a lot of R&B influences, so “Avenue” fits right in with my first EP, “Floor Plan.”

What else can you tell us about the project “Floor Plan” and what inspired it?

“Floor Plan” is the best way to describe who I am as an artist right now. My dad used to play folk-indie guitar when I was young. When I was 16, I moved to America by myself and went to high school in Los Angeles, where the only music you’d hear was hip-hop, trap, and R&B. I’m happy with where I am in my mind, my music, and my art, and fans can expect my best work yet.

Will you work with other people on this project? If not, with whom would you like to work in the future?

I love to work with other artists and creative people from all over the world. “Floor Plan” is already making a lot of progress, but I can’t say too much about it yet. Getting Chris Brown on a song has been a dream of mine since I was a kid, and it still is.

Have you set any goals or things you want to do before the end of 2022?

My plan and goal for 2022 is to keep making progress. You can expect a lot from me because we’re putting out a lot of new music, videos, and collaborations. Performing is my favourite thing to do, and soon I’ll be on a stage near you!
