In his most recent video, the British pop sensation spends a day jumping about in fanciful beds.
After all this “Late Night Talking,” Harry Styles is prepared to physically take you for a trip in his bed.
On Wednesday, July 13, the British pop artist released the new music video for his most recent Harry’s House hit. It opens with Styles waking up in an empty bed while wearing pink and brown pyjamas. The clothing of his previous roommate are discovered on top of an amplifier speaker. He searches beneath the blankets in confusion and absurdly collapses inside the mattress. He burrows under the blankets, donning a brand-new blue-brown polka-dot ensemble, and reaches another realm, which is a crimson room with many people kissing and hugging on an enormous bed.
He emerges from the red covers and sings, “If you’re feeling bad, I simply want to make you happy, darling.” “Wish I was here, I just want to cheer you up, darling.” Styles awakens on a different bed within a museum, this time dressed in pyjamas over a brown jacket, and with several people examining him as if he were an artwork. Harry receives spaghetti and meatballs as his lunch the next time the bed teleports. In the second stanza, he says, “I’ve never been a fan of change. But I’d go anywhere you went, whether it was Bishopsgate or Hollywood.
Later, he can be seen taking selfies while eating momentarily with a male. The scene shifts to Styles and another lady sitting on an elaborate baroque bed, both shooting pictures and peering through binoculars at a busy road. The musician is having a pillow battle with his buddies while riding on a separate bed across the street while vehicles honk. He and his companions are seen snuggling and sleeping together in several clips and images. In the chorus, he says, “We’ve been doing all this late-night talkin’.” You may do anything you want till dawn, but now that you’re in my life, I can’t stop thinking about you.
A thunderstorm is in the sky as Styles holds a reading club in the country with two ladies on a bed covered in vines. Styles abruptly vanishes as it starts to rain, confusing the ladies. Initially terrified, he and his bed fall from a high height, but at the end of the video and song, Styles unwinds and sleeps on his back unconcerned.
The second song from Harry Styles’ most recent album, Harry’s House, “Late Night Talking,” reached its highest position on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 4. The album, meanwhile, landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and several other lists across the world. Two tracks from the album, “Music for a Sushi Restaurant” (No. 8) and “Matilda,” made their chart debuts in the Top 10 of the Hot 100. The album’s first single “As It Was” is currently at the top of the list (No. 9). In addition, Styles will appear in two new movies this year: My Policeman, which will have a limited theatrical run on October 21 and be streamable on Prime Video on November 4; and Don’t Worry Darling, which will open in theatres on September 23.
