Erich Bergen, star of “Madam Secretary,” will play Billy Flynn in “Chicago” on Broadway.

Beginning on August 1, Bergen will perform in Chicago after returning to his role in “Waitress” late last year on Broadway.

Next month, Erich Bergen will replace Billy Flynn in Chicago on Broadway.

Beginning on August 1 and performing until September 11 at the Ambassador Theatre in New York, the Madam Secretary star takes on the role.

He performed in Waitress on Broadway late last year, reprising his role as Dr. Jim Pomatter, the show’s love interest, which he had previously portrayed in both 2018 and 2019. In addition, Bergen has appeared in a number of films including Bull, Jersey Boys, Gossip Girl, The Good Fight, and Humor Me.

Buchwald and Industry Entertainment represent Bergen, who also creates significant events via his 6W Entertainment.

Bianca Marroquin plays Roxie Hart, Lana Gordon plays Velma Kelly, Jennifer Holliday plays Matron “Mama” Morton, Evan Harrington plays Amos Hart, and Ryan Silverman plays Billy Flynn in the Broadway production of Chicago, which is presently in its 25th year.
